Alastair Strachan is a Community Development Officer at the RIPE NCC, where he leads initiatives to strengthen engagement across the RIPE community and support Network Operator Groups (NOGs) throughout the RIPE NCC service region.
He coordinates the RIPE NCC’s community partnerships and sponsorships, supporting events and initiatives that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. Alastair also oversees the RIPE NCC Open House events, creating online spaces for discussion and connection among Internet professionals.
With over a decade of experience in community development and Internet governance, Alastair is passionate about empowering grassroots organisers, supporting underrepresented regions, and building an open and secure Internet for all.
