Call for presentation dates

14 January: Call For Presentations open

26 February: Deadline Call For Presentations

Submissions

Submissions should be non-commercial and product marketing talks are strongly discouraged.

Repeated audience feedback shows that the most successful talks focus on operational experience, research results or case studies.

For example, presenters wishing to describe a commercial solution should focus on the underlying technology - principles, algorithms, protocols, configuration, etc., rather than performing a full product demonstration.

Examples of previous presentations can be found at:

Presenters proposing a panel are encouraged to include speakers from several, perhaps even competing companies and/or a neutral facilitator.

In addition to presentations selected in advance for the plenary, the SEE PC also offers time slots for Lightning Talks, which may be submitted until 7 April.

General Requirements

The following general requirements apply:

  • Presenters should indicate how much time they will require. Usually, 30-minute slots are granted for plenary presentations and 60-minute slots for panels.
  • Proposals for talks will only be considered by the PC if they contain draft presentation slides (slides may be updated at a later date). For panels, proposals must contain a clear description, as well as the names of invited panelists, presenters and moderators.
  • Presenters and panelists are encouraged to be physically present at the SEE 14 Meeting, though virtual presentations can be discussed if needed.
  • In the first round of applications, you can expect to hear back from the PC by 9 March. If you have any questions or requests concerning content submissions, please email see-pc@ripe.net.

Proposals submitted after this date will be considered on a space-available basis.
