This session will examine the developments leading to the implementation of the WSIS+20 outcomes. We will explore implementation pathways and how stakeholders can further align WSIS Action Lines with the Global Digital Compact (GDC), with a view to accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On the road to Doha for the Plenipot-26

The ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (Plenipot-26) will take place in November 2026. It will play an important role in shaping how WSIS ITU-related outcomes are implemented within the ITU’s mandate and across its three sectors (ITU-R, ITU-T and ITU-D). It will provide strategic direction to ensure that implementation remains technically sound, development-oriented and aligned with the ITU’s institutional competencies.
